MEET THE BAND
Forged in 2021 out of the boredom brought on by the COVID-19 shutdown, Beneath You started when the bassist Serge Verkhovsky (Limp, Ken Yokoyama Band, Year Of The Fist) met the vocalist Mary Diridon (Mary Diri Music, Shine True Creative). What started as a casual conversation about their mutual love of songwriting quickly evolved into a collaboration, blending Serge’s pop-punk sensibilities with Mary’s stylistically diverse vocals. In true pandemic style, they recorded in their home studios and worked remotely with studio musicians around the world to bring their songs to life.
Before they knew it, their first EP, Unhinged, was born. Unhinged features catchy hooks and driving beats to touch on relatable topics from relationships to mental health to the socio-political landscape. Mary and Serge use their life experience and observations to write about topics from a personal and thoughtful perspective, recognizing the complexities and shades of gray in everyday life.
MEET DOMINO
The band mascot goes by many names, including Meatloaf, Bubba, and D-Money but his official moniker is Bradley McDomino Pooper. Domino is always underfoot, protecting his people from potential dangers such as squirrels, mail carriers, delivery trucks, and random voices on the street. He truly is...Beneath You.
Ten pounds of fluff and love, Domino will be your very best friend unless you try to take away his treasures or push him off the couch, in which case he'll bite your face off and come back for your skull bones. What can we say...he's complicated, just like the rest of us.
